Happening today!! 😀 McClain High School will host Opening Night on Saturday, October 14, 2023. There will be two shows held in the high school auditorium at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The theme is "The Magic of Movies and Broadway." Admission is $5.00. We are VERY excited to have Jesse Weinberger visiting our district in November! Jesse will be holding learning sessions with students in grades 6-9 on November 1 and then holding a parent/guardian session on November 2 @ 7:00 p.m. in the MHS cafetorium. The November 2 session is open to anyone in our community or surrounding communities. Children ARE NOT allowed to attend the November 2 session. Information from the 10-3-23 4:10 p.m. all-call for parents and guardians of elementary students: Our Family Fitness Night will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, October 4 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at our main campus. We are excited to partner with Adena Health to host this event for our families of students in grades preschool through fifth grade. Children will be able to participate in activities such as volleyball, basketball, football, swimming, yoga, soccer, and an obstacle course. Healthy snacks and informational tables will be available, and the brand new Adena Mobile Unit will be here for people to tour. Children who complete their activity punch card will be eligible for a drawing for prizes. Parents/guardians of children who complete their punch card will be eligible for a drawing for an all-season athletic pass good for this school year and a massage certificate. Finally, we will also have a drawing for a family prize basket donated by Greenfield Mother’s Club. We hope to see our elementary school families tomorrow evening at 6:00. Practice field project days #128-131 - Be sure to follow the updates on our social media accounts, website, and app! The building has arrived! 👏🏼👏🏼 Currently the team that is erecting the building is working to sort and organize the pieces so that they are ready to start on Monday, October 9. We are proud and excited that two of our own, Josh Hyer and Gary Ryan, are on the team. 💜💛 ⚠️The slab for the section of the building that will be erected first will be poured TOMORROW, October 4. As we shared previously, this is a task that has to begin early in the morning as the process has to be completed in one day. Equipment will move in around 5:00 a.m., and work will begin around 6:00 a.m. The second slab pour is TENTATIVELY scheduled for October 12. Our contractor has strived to keep early morning and late evening work to a minimum and will continue to do so as much as possible.
