McClain FFA hosted its first “Tech with Teens” event in partnership with the Highland County Community Action Organization this afternoon. Students were able to sit down in an individualized setting with seniors who had specific questions with the technology they use in their everyday lives. We are excited to share that Mr. Bill Roller, Greenfield Elementary art teacher and MHS graduate, will have artwork hanging in COSI after having placed in their Exploring Egyptian Art Exhibition contest. His work will hang on the second floor outside the King Tutankhamun exhibit from March 18th through September 4th, 2023. Congratulations to Mr. Roller! 😊

February 27, 2023 - 4:16PM update - The tornado warning has been lifted. The weather has cleared, and our buses are back on the road. Thank you to all for your cooperation!
Important update: Due to the tornado warning for Highland County, our buses are currently stopped in order to maintain safety for our drivers and students. Buses will begin traveling again once the weather is safe to do so. Also, students who attend BASC Care on our main campus are sheltered and safe.

APRIL 3, 2023 - Our preschool application process opens for the 2023-2024 school year.
The deadline to complete the process is May 15, 2023. All forms must be signed and all required documents uploaded by the deadline in order to be considered for the program. Directions on how to register will be made available on our district website and social media accounts on April 3. You can also contact our Special Programs Department at 937-981-4856 to be added to an email distribution list in order to receive the directions via email on April 3.
*Parents and guardians of current preschoolers who will be in preschool again next year are already on the email distribution list.
We will hold a mandatory in-person application/informational session for you AND your child on April 18 from 4:00-6:30 PM at Greenfield Elementary and at Rainsboro Elementary on April 20 from 4:00-6:30 PM. We look forward to seeing you at one of these events!!

ALL NEW GEVSD 2023-2024 KINDERGARTEN APPLICANTS:
Kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year will open online on Monday, April 3, 2023!! We are very excited to announce that the Greenfield Exempted Village School District has again partnered with Final Forms, which allows you to sign and complete all kindergarten enrollment forms for the 2023-2024 school year and upload ALL required documents to your student’s individual document folder. Directions on how to register will be made available on our district website and social media accounts on April 3. You can also contact the school office where your child will attend in order to be added to an email distribution list in order to receive the directions via email on April 3.
Please remember, your children must turn five years old prior to August 1, 2023, in order to be eligible for kindergarten registration.
As part of the registration process, Greenfield Exempted Village School District will hold in-person testing events at our three elementary locations. Your child’s participation at your school’s testing event is mandatory.
Testing Events:
Greenfield Elementary: Tuesday, April 11 from 4:00 to 6:30 PM
Buckskin Elementary: Wednesday, April 12 from 4:00 to 6:30 PM
Rainsboro Elementary: Thursday, April 13 from 4:00 to 6:30 PM

Did you know that our buses are inspected twice per year (one annual inspection and one spot inspection) by the State Highway Patrol Motor Vehicle Inspection Team? Our transportation team does an excellent job keeping our buses in shape, which keeps our buses on the road after passing inspection. ☺️🚌

💜💛 What do you enjoy about being a GEVSD School Board member? I enjoy being involved with my Alma Mater and seeing the district grow and flourish as Mr. McClain would have supported. I want the best for our students and staff, and I also enjoy being a voice for the community. GEVSD is very important to our entire community, and we all want nothing but the best.
