19 of our high school students are getting trained this morning for Big Brother Big Sisters this year! They will be mentoring some 6th grade students in the middle school.

Check out these cool magnets that our McClain Band Boosters are selling! These six-inch heavy duty magnets are made for vehicles, but can be placed anywhere. At $5.00 each, they can be purchased directly from Band Booster members or from their concession stand. 😊

2022 MHS Yearbooks are here!

McClain Book Club had its first big meeting this morning in the library. 48 students!

Tech Help Desk students this year are hard at work making sure to keep the school as connected as possible. Students in this class repair and provision Chromebooks, take care of various technology needs for teachers, portions of the school website, and also special projects related to technology like laser engraving, clothing embroidery, and poster printing. With all of that, they get college credit for it!

All 2023 graduates will have a group picture taken this Friday at the start of school (7:40am). This is their senior group picture for the yearbook taken by Mike Seely. We will delay the Laurel Oaks bus until the photo is taken. Wear purple and gold!

September is Attendance Awareness Month. Good attendance has an impact on the success of students.
Some people think about 75% as average success, but check out the impact on students who have only a 75% attendance rate! Even the difference between 90% and 95% is staggering. If you have attendance concerns or questions, please contact us. We are happy to help!

Reminder: School will not be in session September 5-9 due to Labor Day and fair break. School will resume for students on Monday, September 12, 2022.

Picture Day is the Wednesday after we return from fair break!

September is Attendance Awareness Month. Good attendance has an impact on the success of students. We will be sharing different facts and resources during the month that can be helpful for parents. If you are looking for resources, check out https://awareness.attendanceworks.org/.

The link for placing money on a student's lunch account has changed. It is
http://family.titank12.com/. The link can be found on our website and app in the Dining section.
Please remember that the universal free lunch program has ended. If you think that your child would qualify for free or reduced price lunches, or even if you are unsure, be sure to complete the application as soon as possible.

At this time, we are able to make outgoing calls, but unable to receive calls at McClain High School. We are working with our phone company to get this issue resolved. Thank you for your patience.

Be on the lookout for free and reduced lunch applications to be sent home. Universal free lunch is NOT in place this school year. Even if you haven’t qualified for free or reduced lunch before, it is worth taking the time to complete the form. There can be benefits in addition to free meals for our district and for families! If you need assistance completing the application, we are happy to help! 😊
