
Students learned about Newton's Laws of Motion with an egg ramp demo in Mrs. Molloy's classes on Friday.





Mrs. Shrout's students practiced multiplying and dividing fractions, while enjoying the beautiful weather outside.


Sixth grade students in Mrs. Milnes' room use hexagonal tiles to make a thinking map of Mesopotamia. No group came up with the exact map design, but all could support their reasoning!


Mrs. Shrout's students are playing fraction Battleship. Other than ships being sunk with correct answers, we are floating happily in fractions.





Brylee Douglas recently completed 100% of the sixth grade topics in the Aleks math program. Congratulations, Brylee!

Today was a very special day at GMS. Our students and staff raised over $1,400 for Madalynn Wilson's medical expenses, one of our seventh graders who is fighting Leukemia. Thank you to everyone who donated in some fashion. A special thank you to Alanna Eikenberry and Vanessa Penwell for organizing today's events. Today is great reminder of how special the students, parents, and staff are of GMS. Thank you!


Sixth graders in Miss Thieman’s math Success class working together to solve Order of Operations Puzzles!


Students in Mrs. Mongold's Success class worked in teams to use their skills applying the order of operations to solve logic puzzles this week.




Lucas Banks recently earned a personal apple pie and certificate for completing 100% of the Aleks topics for sixth grade math! Congratulations, Lucas!!

Sixth graders in Mrs. Milnes' social studies classes built Mesopotamia Ziggurats!




If your middle school student has lost a pair of glasses, more than likely we have them. Glasses can be picked up in the middle school office.


Students in Mrs. Santor and Mrs. Weaks’ classes used stations to revise their informative essays!





Ms. Ella and Ms. Lagorio took their class on a field trip to SunWatch Indian Village, a reconstructed Fort Ancient Native American Village next to the Great Miami River in Dayton.


Miss Price's agriculture classes have been growing their plant science knowledge by using indoor hydroponic systems and indoor seed starter/propagation kits. Students have planted an assortment of flowers, spinach, kale, and lettuce. Students have been responsible for the care and management of the plants everyday. Students in these classes will be taking plants home with them, if they choose to do so.
