Ms. Lagorio's students have been creating a color wheel using cut-outs of the 12 different shapes they have been studying. Students cut the shapes out themselves and glued them onto the color wheel----a little bit of geometry and art. We all like how it turned out, even though we are still trying to find more purple colored recyclables to complete the color wheel.

Mrs. Black’s students analyzed their RRA writing responses from the beginning of the year and from the middle of the year. Students used an Informative rubric to track their educational process while taking ownership of their learning. This process allowed them to expand their analysis to better connect ideas to help make writing more complete and to help them prepare for further writing prompts.

Mrs. Shrout's students are learning to cite textual evidence by analyzing a crime scene photo, 911 transcript, timeline, and eyewitness accounts to figure out the specifics of a CSI report. Students are only allowed to use the strongest evidence to support their claims of what actually happened and if foul play was involved.
